Her en kjapp gjennomgang:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Helsides artikkel om <strong>Coastal County<\/strong>: &laquo;This dynamic Norwegian duo channel the best work of David Axelrod and Jean Claude Vannier on their debut long-player &#8230; you&#8217;re transported into a world of languid, atmospheric and funky soundscapes that&#8217;s discinctly European, but with strong nods to the U.S. arrangers and jazz players whose samples were the foundations of hip hop.&raquo; Utgitt p\u00e5 vinyl av norske Preservation Records.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jeff Beck<\/strong>: <em>Live At The Record Plant San Francisco 1968<\/em> f\u00e5r 5 stjerner, til tross for at lydkvaliteten p\u00e5 dette konsertopptaket ikke er all verden: &laquo;It&#8217;s a five-star performance, unlike the sound quality, although the playing is so good that might not matter when you crank it up.&raquo; Men jeg ser ikke n\u00f8dvendigheten av \u00e5 kj\u00f8pe dette p\u00e5 vinylformatet.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Soft Machine<\/strong>: <em>Harvest Albums 1975-1978<\/em> er en 3xCD utgivelse som samler <em>Bundles<\/em> (1975), <em>Softs<\/em> (1976) og <em>Alive And Well Recorded In Paris<\/em> (1978). &laquo;Nothing will ever replace the Robert Wyatt\/Hugh Hopper\/Mike Ratledge <em>Volume Two<\/em> line-up in my affections, but there&#8217;s still so much to admire here.&raquo; Denne samleutgivelsen fra Esoteric f\u00e5r 4 stjerner, men har man disse p\u00e5 vinyl fra f\u00f8r s\u00e5 har Esoteric tidligere ogs\u00e5 gitt ut en 2xCD utgave av live-albumet, med mye bonusmateriale.<\/li>\n<li><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.vinylknut.com\/pix\/recog.gif\" border=\"0\" width=\"14\" height=\"14\" \/><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong> 5 stjerner til nyutgivelsen p\u00e5 vinyl av <strong>Bert Jansch<\/strong> albumet <em>Avocet<\/em>: &laquo;Overlooked on its initial release in 1979, Jansch&#8217;s 12th studio album is now rightly regarded as one of the guitarist&#8217;s finest works.&raquo; Dette er da en 40-\u00e5rs jubileumsutgave p\u00e5 hvit vinyl, en repress av utgaven som ble gitt ut i 2016, den gang til gode skussm\u00e5l fra Hoffman-forum brukere i forhold til lyd- og pressekvalitet.<\/li>\n<li>5 stjerner til <strong>Scott Walker<\/strong>: <em>Scott 4<\/em>, som da er en half-speed-mastered-at-Abbey-Road nyutgivelse p\u00e5 vinyl fra Mercury. &laquo;Should redress the sonic shortcomings of both 2013&#8217;s <em>The Collection<\/em> box set and 4 Men With Beards&#8217; 2008 balls-up.&raquo; Brukere p\u00e5 Hoffman-forumet er ikke av samme mening, flere der melder at lydkvaliteten er langt fra s\u00e5 bra som man kunne \u00f8nsket seg, sammenlignet med tidlige utgaver. Merkelig at det skal v\u00e6re s\u00e5 vanskelig \u00e5 f\u00e5 gitt ut Scott Walker katalogen p\u00e5 nytt p\u00e5 vinyl i bra kvalitet. Generelt sett s\u00e5 er jeg skeptisk til hype som &laquo;half-speed-mastering&raquo; og &laquo;Mastered at Abbey Road&raquo; relatert til nyutgivelser p\u00e5 vinyl. Ikke at det i seg selv er negativt, men det sier egentlig ingenting om kvaliteten p\u00e5 remastringen.<\/li>\n<li><strong><em><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.vinylknut.com\/pix\/recog.gif\" border=\"0\" width=\"14\" height=\"14\" \/><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong> Jon Savage&#8217;s 1969-1971: Rock Dreams On 45<\/em><\/strong> er en 2xCD og siste tilvekst i Savage sine \u00e5r-for-\u00e5r samleutgivelser som alle har f\u00e5tt mye skryt. Det gj\u00f8r denne ogs\u00e5: &laquo;A bountiful haul of singles and B-sides from the early heyday of hairy, belligerent rock &#8230; thoughtful and pleasingly crunchy, this is one of Savage&#8217;s finest.&raquo; Et informativt hefte f\u00f8lger selvf\u00f8lgelig med. (I Shindig! #98 finner du en to-siders artikkel relatert til denne utgivelsen.)<\/li>\n<li>&laquo;These veterans of Greek grunge deliver an album that&#8217;s a mature distillation of both classic 70&#8217;s heavy metal and 90&#8217;s stoner-rock. Think Sabbath, think Kyuss.&raquo; 4 stjerner her, og det groover bra fra <strong>Nightstalker<\/strong> og deres nye album <em>Great Hallucinations<\/em>, men det blir ikke originalt nok til at det blir snakk om noe innkj\u00f8p.<\/li>\n<li>&laquo;There is something about the Fruits de Mer operation that has never sat all that well with this writer&raquo; \u00e5pner omtalen av\u00c2\u00a0<strong>Crystal jacqueline &#038; The Honey Pot<\/strong> EP-en <em>I Talk To The Wind<\/em> med, med 2 usle stjerner i utbytte. Kan ikke huske \u00e5 ha sett noe s\u00e5 negativt om FdM i Shindig! f\u00f8r, men jeg antar at dette g\u00e5r fort i glemmeboka. En annen FdM utgivelse (<strong>The Lounge Bar Orchestra<\/strong>: <em>Omeroyd Sound EP<\/em>) f\u00e5r 4 stjerner p\u00e5 siden etter, s\u00e5 der var det allerede glemt.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nytt nummer av Shindig!, og som alltid ender jeg med en liten sjekkliste.
