S\u00e5 6xCD samleboksen <em>Gettin&#8217; Funkier All The Time<\/em>, med undertittelen <em>The Complete Josie\/Reprise &amp; Warner Recordings 1968-1977<\/em>, er et godt alternativ. 5 stjerner her. 3xLP-en <em>A Message From The Meters; The Complete Josie, Reprise &amp; Warner Bros. Singles 1968-1977<\/em> som ble utgitt p\u00e5 Real Gone Music i 2016 frister ogs\u00e5, men den begynner \u00e5 bli vanskelig \u00e5 f\u00e5 tak i n\u00e5. (6xCD boksen er omtalt i Shindig! #100 og f\u00e5r 5 stjerner: &laquo;This is the first time their entire recorded output (including non-album singles) has appeared together, making this an essential package for those who crave the full Meters experience.&raquo;)<\/li>\n<li>4 norske navn i jazz-spalten: 4 stjerner til nyutgivelsen av <strong>Trygve Seim<\/strong> sitt album <em>Different Rivers<\/em> (2000, &laquo;a brooding masterpiece&raquo;), 3 stjerner til nyutgivelsen av <strong>Arild Andersen<\/strong> sitt album <em>The Triangle<\/em> (2004), begge p\u00e5 ECM. 4 stjerner til <strong>Marius Neset<\/strong> sitt nye album <em>Viaduct<\/em> (p\u00e5 ACT, &laquo;an astonishingly mature record&raquo;) og 4 stjerner til <strong>Arve Henriksen<\/strong>: <em>The Timeless Nowhere<\/em> (&laquo;a four-album set of unreleased material, less dramatic but still potent in its conveyance of mood, atmosphere and emotion&raquo;), p\u00e5 hjemlige Rune Grammofon.<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Dreams To Fill The Vacuum; The Sound Of Sheffield 1977-1988<\/em><\/strong>, en ny 4xCD samler fra Cherry Red, f\u00e5r litt lunken omtale og bare 3 stjerner: &laquo;Unfortunately, there&#8217;s also quite a lot of medium-grade material and the occasional dead-end. Nevertheless, this superbly packaged and curated collection captures a period of fascinating creeativity in Sheffield.&raquo; Med artister som The Human League, Pulp, Heaven 17, Clock DVA, In The Nursery og Thompson Twins i spissen s\u00e5 blir ikke dette den mest interessante eller essensielle samleutgivelsen fra Cherry Red for meg heller.<\/li>\n<li><strong><span class=\"tracklist_track_title\"><span class=\"tracklist_track_title\"><span class=\"tracklist_track_title\"><strong><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.vinylknut.com\/pix\/recog.gif\" width=\"14\" height=\"14\" border=\"0\" \/><\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> Wire<\/strong> er ute med nytt album og <em>Mind Hive<\/em> f\u00e5r i likhet med de foreg\u00e5ende ogs\u00e5 gode og til dels str\u00e5lende kritikker. Et band man godt kan starte i begge ender av diskografien med, og jobbe seg framover og tilbake til det kanskje blir litt mindre interessant i midten. Er tildelt album-of-the-month her og f\u00e5r 4 stjerner.<\/li>\n<li><strong><span class=\"tracklist_track_title\"><span class=\"tracklist_track_title\"><span class=\"tracklist_track_title\"><strong><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.vinylknut.com\/pix\/recog.gif\" width=\"14\" height=\"14\" border=\"0\" \/><\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong> <strong>Sid Smith<\/strong> sin bok <em>In The Court Of <strong>King Crimson<\/strong>; An Observation Over 50 Years<\/em> f\u00e5r 5 stjerner. Dette er en revidert og utvidet utgave av boka som kom i 2002: &laquo;On top of everything, Smith bolts a forensically detailed track-by-track appendix onto the end fo the exhaustive narrative: that&#8217;s every track, from every studio album &#8230; properly indispensable.&raquo;<\/li>\n<li><strong><span class=\"tracklist_track_title\"><span class=\"tracklist_track_title\"><span class=\"tracklist_track_title\"><strong><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.vinylknut.com\/pix\/recog.gif\" width=\"14\" height=\"14\" border=\"0\" \/><\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong> I boka <em>Vinyl Countdown<\/em> forteller <strong>Graham Sharpe<\/strong> sin historie som platesamler.
