Her en kjapp gjennomgang:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.vinylknut.com\/pix\/recog.gif\" width=\"14\" height=\"14\" border=\"0\" \/> Intervju med <strong>Lenny Kaye<\/strong> (Patti Smith Group gitarist og ikke minst mannen bak den originale <em>Nuggets<\/em> samleren) i forbindelse med at han er ute med ny interessant samleutgivelse p\u00e5 CD og parallell bokutgivelse. <strong><em>Lightning Striking<\/em><\/strong> er tittelen p\u00e5 b\u00e5de boka og 2xCD-en fra Ace Records, og har undertittelen <em>Transformative Moments Of Rock&#8217;n&#8217;Roll<\/em>. Kaye fokuserer her p\u00e5 artister, l\u00e5ter og hendelser som tok rocken et steg videre, og setter alt inn i et st\u00f8rre perspektiv. Boka f\u00e5r 5 stjerner her: &laquo;Beginning in Memphis in 1954, the narrative laeds us all th eay through to Cobain&#8217;s Seattle in 91 by way of 50&#8217;s Philadelphia, 60&#8217;s Liverpool, San Francisco, Detroit, and 70&#8217;s London and New York &#8230; Lightning Striking is a triumph.&raquo;<\/li>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.vinylknut.com\/pix\/recog.gif\" width=\"14\" height=\"14\" border=\"0\" \/> Andre utgivelse i serien av <strong>Can<\/strong> live-opptak fra arkivene er ute, <em>Live In Brighton 1975<\/em> f\u00e5r 4 stjerner: &laquo;Another mesmerising set of improvised compositions &#8230; these are riveting performances.&raquo; Kommer som 2xCD og 3xLP.<\/li>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.vinylknut.com\/pix\/recog.gif\" width=\"14\" height=\"14\" border=\"0\" \/> 5 stjerner til <em>50th Anniversary Edition<\/em> av <em>If I Could Only Remember My Name<\/em>, <strong>David Crosby<\/strong> sitt debutalbum fra 1971, med bidrag fra Jefferson Airplane, Santana, Grateful Dead, CSNY &amp; Joni Mitchell. Vinylutgaven f\u00e5r mye skryt, gravert for vinyl av Chris Bellman, p\u00e5 h\u00f8yde med ogs\u00e5 den tidligere Classic Records utgaven gravert av Bernie Grundman mener enkelte p\u00e5 Hoffman-forumet. 2xCD utgaven tilbyr bra bonusmateriale: &laquo;The real gold here is found in the six other sketch demos of songs that were obviously intended to be fleshed out later &#8230; brilliant.&raquo;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Spirit<\/strong>-boksen <em>Sunrise &amp; Salvation; The Mercury Era Anthology<\/em> som dekker perioden 1974 til 1985 over 8 CD-er, er nok ikke like essensiell som 5xCD boksen <em>It Shall Be: The Ode &amp; Epic Recordings 1968-1972<\/em>, begge fra Esoteric, men tilbyr likevel mye for fans: &laquo;An extensive selection of alternate versions, out-takes, demos, previously unreleased studio material and live recordings &#8230; the prayers of all Spirit completists have well and truly been answered.&raquo;<\/li>\n<li>Et lite og ganske s\u00e5 positivt norsk avsnitt i jazz-avdelingen, fire album som alle f\u00e5r 4 stjerner. <strong>Flukten<\/strong>: <em>Velkommen H\u00e5p<\/em> (&laquo;adding sparkle to some almost post-bop sounds with jazzy\/rockabilly guitar work&raquo;), <strong>Bendik Giske<\/strong>: <em>Cracks<\/em> (&laquo;mixing ethereal ambient soundscapes with the spectral whispers of jazz in the hinterland&raquo;), <strong>Eivind Aarset 4tet<\/strong>: <em>Phantasmagoria, Or A Different Kind Of Journey<\/em> (&laquo;pushes his instrument into wild, almost psychedelic dance territories&raquo;) og <strong>Hedvig Mollestad<\/strong>: <em>Tempest Revisited<\/em> (&laquo;bends straight-up jazz into rock formations&raquo;).<\/li>\n<li>5 stjerner til Grapefruit 3xCD boksen <strong><em>Once Upon A Time In The West Midlands &#8211; The Bostin? Sounds Of Brumrock 1966-1974<\/em><\/strong>: &laquo;There&#8217;s something for everyone from thumping proto-metal to pastoral flute and dainty marimba but somehow it all hangs together &#8230; the superbly researched 48-page booklet that accompanies the three CDs is the ketchup on the bacon cake.&raquo;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nytt nummer av Shindig!, og som alltid ender jeg med en liten sjekkliste.
